NEW STREETLITES FOR BICESTER OUTLET VILLAGE
A fleet of new generation shuttle buses are attracting admiring comments from passengers arriving at Bicester North station this week. Bicester Village who manage the service in partnership with Chiltern Railways ordered the new buses as part of a re-launch of the shuttle service between Bicester North station and Bicester Village.
Bicester company Grayline Coaches were chosen to operate the route which has 6 dedicated drivers running a permanent “10 minute loop” between the station and Bicester Village.
Grayline Operations Manager, Paul Gray: “We have witnessed first hand the steady growth in passenger numbers. Once the engineering works draw to a close we are sure that even more visitors will choose the train and shuttle bus option. The vehicles take on a new dimension in bus travel. All vehicles are fitted with an Italian leather interior, are fully carpeted, and have DVD monitor and multi media package to offer a wide variety of information”.
The custom made vehicles are part of a package of improvements to enhance the rail travel experience. A team of welcome hosts have also been trained to greet customers and assist them with their tickets and other tourist information at Bicester North station, Bicester Village and Marylebone.
