Mistral congratulates the 2015 UK Bus Awards finalists!
Mistral Group extends its congratulations to those bus operators, local authorities and PTEs who made the shortlist in the 2015 UK Bus Awards.
The 97 finalists were selected by an independent expert judging panel from more than 250 entries across 19 categories.
They include nominations from bus users, bus operators and their staff from around Britain and 10 entries from local authorities, PTEs and Combined Authorities.
Arriva topped the list for the number of finalists (15) closely followed by Stagecoach Group (14) and Go-Ahead Group on 13.
FirstGroup, which no longer runs in London, achieved nine finalists. Municipal operators and smaller independent operators each achieved seven finalists.
Chairman of the UK Bus AwardsTony Depledge said that the quality and talent of the finalists did the 20th year of the awards proud.
“The spirit of the bus awards is one of celebration, rewarding hard work and innovation. This year, the finalists have really pulled the stops out.
“What has stood out in particular for the judges from this year’s entries is operators trying new things to see if they work and also engaging in genuine dialogue with colleagues and industry stakeholders.”
Now, finalists will be appraised by mystery travellers to ensure bus services, drivers and depots live up to the high standard of the submitted entries ahead of the winners being announced in London on November 24.
The ceremony will take place at The Ballroom on the South Bank.
